Lymphocytes are small and well-differentiated. Consider these results with knowledge if the species has a higher predilection for a higher lymphocyte count, clinical impression, and other diagnostic findings.

Cleaned carpal regions on both wings with dilute betadine, applied vetericyn wound gel and covered with tegaderm+telfa, foam tape, duct tape around edges, and interremigial tapes.

During feeding, this bird appeared to possibly be ataxic. Since he has been stressed in his cage it was opted to warp his tail feathers in a tail guard to prevent them from being damaged. He also received padding on both of his carpal joints to prevent any damage or wounds forming while he is in his cage. An observation of him outside will be needed to see if he is truly ataxic.-SH

Electrophoresis Comments
The albumin is decreased. This may reflect hydration, nephritis, hepatitis, or parasitism. Low albumin
can also be observed in young animals. The beta globulins are increased and reflective of acute
inflammation. Moderate to marked increases in this fraction can be observed with nephritis, hepatitis,
dermatitis, and mycotic infection. Increases may also be observed with sarcocystosis and chronic
chlamydiosis as well as mycobacteriosis. Specific beta globulin proteins are also increased in egg
laying birds. Followup EPH may have prognostic value in this case.
